History of Howard Area Community Center

The Howard Area Community Center (HACC) was established in 1967 in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood as an outreach initiative of St. Jerome‘s Church. Its primary mission was to provide for the emergency needs of local residents by serving as a distribution center for food and clothing.

Since then, our agency has grown to encompass 5 departments serving clients from birth through senior citizens.

Join us this year in celebrating 45 years of excellent service to the Rogers Park Community.
