Health Services

 

Howard Area Community Center provides health care services that benefit low-income and moderate-income residents and families of Rogers Park and residents of surrounding communities.  

Our services include the following:

Dental Clinic: For children 6 months to 5 years old and for people without dental insurance or with low income. 

Breast and Cervical Cancer Initiative: Group and individual education about breast and cervical cancer prevention and referrals to free screenings. 

HIV Testing: Call for times. Generally on Mondays from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and on Thursdays from 3:00-5:00 p.m. 

 

Brothers and Sisters United Against HIV (BASUAH)

HACC works closely with the Illinois Department of Public Health to increase awareness of HIV and AIDS in communities across Chicago.

Our partnership’s latest project – BASUAH  – promotes HIV/AIDS awareness among communities of color through education, collaboration and community engagement.

BASUAH is an acronym for Brothers And Sisters United Against HIV.
