Brief Job Description: The family support worker will develop and maintain relationships with families and provide case management to ensure that they receive comprehensive services though their participation in our Head Start/ Early Head Start/ Prevention Initiative program. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing a comprehensive program of parent involvement.

Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Human Services or equivalent. Must be able to submit transcripts with application. Bi-lingual in Spanish/English required. Computer knowledge, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and use of the Internet are required. Also required are excellent writing and record-keeping skills and the ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Brief Description: Plans and implements a comprehensive education program that ensures that all 0-3 children at the Family Center are provided with a learning environment and opportunities that will help them develop physically, socially, cognitively, emotionally; and that parents are supported in their role as the child’s primary teacher.

Qualified Candidates have:

  • Experience in primary care-giving practices, and have a working knowledge of the continuity of care model;
  • Experience providing supervision, mentoring and support to 0-3 teaching staff ;
  • Experience in determine ongoing training needs, facilitating curriculum planning & formal observations, and ensuring that appropriate teaching strategies are being implemented & supported in the classroom.
  • Requirements & Qualifications:

    • BA in Early Childhood Education;
    • Current holds an Infant Toddler Studies Certificate
    • 3 years experience as a Supervisor
    • Previous experience in an infant-toddler setting;
    • Certification in CPR & First Aid-pediatric and adult (not required but a plus).

Title: Maintenance Worker

Brief Description: Provides regular maintenance and housekeeping duties for the Youth Program and the ECE Department.
Duties and Responsibilities in Youth Department (10 hours/week, 2/day)

  1. Sweep/ Mop floors daily
  2. Clean 2 bathrooms daily
  3. Remove all trash from building daily
  4. Clean all surfaces (table tops, chairs, windows.. etc) daily
  5. Stock/ inventory cleaning supplies, paper products etc
  6. Other tasks as assigned by Youth Department Director

Duties and Responsibilities in ECE Department (19 hours/week, 3.5/day)

  1. Clean all bathrooms daily
  2. Sweep / vacuum / mop floors daily
  3. Remove all trash from all classrooms daily
  4. Assist with stocking supplies / breaking down boxes after deliveries
  5. Stock paper products in bathrooms and classrooms
  6. Is responsible for the maintenance of all lights /changing light bulbs
  7. Regular monitoring and maintenance of the emergency system 3
  8. Regular maintenance of elevator track
  9. Assists with spot cleaning of walls, trash cans, baseboards, fixtures, switches and air vents as necessary.
  10. Clean windows in front entrance daily
  11. Maintain logs of all work completed
  12. Other tasks as assigned by Building and Office Manager of ECE Department, such as but not limited to: minor repairs, assembly of equipment, routine equipment maintenance, snow removal, light painting.

Qualifications:
